On July 17th at 1 PM KST, BTS released the music video for NORMAL, from their most recent full album ARIRANG that released earlier in March, the music video is available exclusively on Spotify.
The music video for the original English version, NORMAL, will be available on other platforms, such as YouTube, starting on the 19th, BTS also released a Korean version of Normal and an instrumental track.
NORMAL was co-written and co-produced by members RM, J-Hope and SUGA, as well as the frontman of OneRepublic Ryan Tedder (Halo by BEYONCE), Sean Cook (Who We Are by Hozier), & Sean Forman member of the electronic pop duo 3OH!3.
The Track was also co-written and co-produced by Barbadian British singer and songwriter Livvi Franc (Liar by Britney Spears), and American rapper, singer and stylist Kirsten “A.Chic” Spencer (ZEN by JENNIE).
Lastly NORMAL, American Grammy-winning Florida-based recording artist, songwriter, and record producer Derrick Milan (Savage REMIX by Megan Thee Stallion), South Korean producer for Big Hit Music Pdogg (Dynamite by BTS).
In the music video the members act out their weary and dishevelled daily lives, such as singing while being drenched in water or lying down with wounded faces, creating a contrast between the traces of an intense party and the emptiness of the next day.
Normal is an alternative pop track that calmly portrays the emptiness and fear behind the spotlight. It entered the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 main singles chart at number 41 and remained on the chart for three consecutive weeks.
BTS will perform during the halftime show of the 2026 FIFA World Cup final at the New York-New Jersey Stadium on the 19th (local time). World-class artists such as Madonna, Shakira, Justin Bieber, Robbie Williams, Laura Pausini, and Nicole Scherzinger will also take the stage.
