&TEAM Releases Music Video For Mark On Me
On September 8th at 6 PM KST, &TEAM has released the music video for Mark On Me, the title track from their second Korean mini album of the same name.
Rather than the heavy, percussive production that has framed the group’s nine-member formations, Mark on Me is a pop song built on a restrained piano figure that swells into a dramatic chorus.
The lyrics express a heartfelt plea to the person who embraced their wounds: “Tame me” and leave a mark, saying “Yours” on their scars.
Mark On Me was co-composed by Griff Clawson (call it the end by ROSÉ), Benson Boone (Beautiful Things by Benson Boone), and Micah Premnath (Back To You by Selena Gomez).
The Korean Lyrics were co-written by Cho Yunkyoung (Russian Roulette by Red Velvet), ChaMane (Back To Life by &TEAM), Jvde Milez (Exotic by ZEROBASEONE), Mia (Two Fools by ENHYPEN), and danke from lalala studio (Magnetic by ILLIT).
This album, which infuses the team’s unique identity of ‘Wolf DNA’ with emotions of love, captures the inner transformation of a wolf once disconnected from the world as they meet someone who embraces their true self.
The new album features six tracks across diverse genres; these include Good Boy, Love Jang, Accelerate, Empty and Night to howl!
Their Korean debut, Back to Life sold more than 1.22 million copies in its first week and took three music show wins, and April’s Japanese EP We on Fire made &TEAM a million-seller for a third consecutive release.
That album also gave the group its first entry on the Billboard 200, debuting at No. 52, a rare showing for a Japan-based act on the U.S. chart.
The group reached another milestone days before the release, playing its first headlining dome concert at Belluna Dome in Saitama, Japan, on Friday and Saturday the largest venue of its career with a roughly four-hour set of 29 songs.
