ATEEZ has achieved their third No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart with “GOLDEN HOUR: Part.5”, which debuts at the top of the chart (dated July 11). The group previously reached No. 1 with “GOLDEN HOUR: Part.2” in 2024 and with “THE WORLD EP.FIN: WILL” in 2023.
According to Billboard’s chart preview published on July 5, “GOLDEN HOUR: Part.5” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, surpassing major new releases including Olivia Rodrigo’s “YOU SEEM PRETTY SAD FOR A GIRL SO IN LOVE” and Drake’s “ICEMAN.”
Since its first top 10 album in 2022, ATEEZ has accumulated a total of nine top 10 albums on the Billboard 200, solidifying its position as the group with the most top 10 albums in the 2020s.
Of the 228,000 equivalent album units earned in the first week by “GOLDEN HOUR: Part.5” , album sales represent 223,000 (debuting at No. 1 on the Top Album Sales chart), SEA units comprise 5,000 (equivalent to 4.96 million official on-demand streams of the album’s songs), and TEA units represent a negligible amount.
GOLDEN HOUR: Part.5 gives ATEEZ their best week ever in both equivalent album units earned and traditional album sales.
The new album marks ATEEZ’s ninth top 10 on the Billboard 200, all achieved consecutively. The group scored their first top 10 with “THE WORLD EP.1: MOVEMENT” “, which peaked at No. 3 in 2012.
With a total of nine top 10s in the 2020s, ATEEZ now holds the record for the most top 10s of the decade. Previously, they were tied with Stray Kids and TOMORROW X TOGETHER.
The album is the only debut within the top 10 on the Billboard 200. Olivia Rodrigo ‘s ” you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love ” falls to No. 2 after leading for two weeks, accumulating 127,000 equivalent units in its third week on the chart (a 29% decrease).
ATEEZ released its 14th mini album, ‘GOLDEN HOUR: Part. 5,’ on June 26, featuring the title track “BAD” alongside “MAMACITA,” “TOXIN,” “Fallin’,” and “Body,” showcasing a wide range of musical styles.
The album’s commercial performance has been equally impressive. It sold approximately 1.88 million copies during its first week, setting a new personal best for ATEEZ and becoming the group’s seventh million-selling album.
“GOLDEN HOUR: Part.5” also topped the real-time and daily album charts on Hanteo Chart, Circle Chart Retail Album Chart, and Bugs Album Chart, while reaching No. 1 on the iTunes Top Albums chart in 31 countries.
ATEEZ has steadily expanded its global presence through extensive world tours. In 2024, the group made history as the first K-pop boy group to perform at Coachella.
The group is currently promoting its title track “BAD” and will meet fans at the 2026 ATEEZ Fan Meeting ‘ATINY’S VOYAGE: TEENY MYSTERY,’ which will be held from July 17 to 19 at Hwajeong Gymnasium at Korea University in Seoul.
