On July 15 at 6 p.m. KST, SEVENTEEN‘s DINO‘s Alter Ego Picheolin released music video for Love Sick, a pre-release track from his upcoming 1st mini album 吉BOARD.
Love Sick was co-produced and co-written by DINO himself aswell as, Pledis producer BUMZU (Thunder by SEVENTEEN), and co-produced by WILLUS, and co-written by Jung Misun.
Love Sick is a song based on sophisticated city pop sounds and sensuous piano performances. Following an emotional trajectory where warm memories left by love intersect with lingering wounds, the song portrays the complex emotions of love that anyone has likely experienced at least once, through an empathetic perspective.
The moments of pure love, which are beautiful yet inevitably painful, melt into the melancholic yet romantic sentiment characteristic of city pop, leaving a lasting impression and deep comfort on listeners.
Furthermore, the eternal disc jockey Lee Moonse participated in the introductory narration, completing a song that feels like a radio drama. He enriched the song’s narrative with his signature clean yet deeply resonant voice.
The music video depicts Picheolin, suffering from the aftermath of a breakup, navigating the city at night and overcoming his wounds. He buys flowers with no one to accept them at the crack of dawn, runs through tunnels, and pours out his sense of loss through a desperate solo dance under a streetlamp.
The second prerelease song, Micheo Micheo and its music video will drop on July 22. The lead track and accompanying music video will drop on Aug. 3, the same day as the EP.
Following the album release, DINO will hold a three-day solo fan concert from Aug. 21 to Aug. 23.
