On July 13th, idntt released Kids Return from their third mini-album itsnotover, marking a new chapter as a 20-member group with the debut of their third subunit itsnot5ver,
According to their agency Modhaus: “The title track Kids Return is a street hip-hop song about the members returning with their combined strength, built on a free-spirited groove.”
The newly unveiled subunit itsnotover consists of Cho Eunchan, Kwak Giwoong, Lee Jooheon, Yang Gyungho, and Kim Eunsung. The five rookies describe themselves as imperfect individually but bright together, creating an explosive synergy
The album features seven tracks. Along with the title song, the tracklist includes the intro Twenty, Run It Up, Lovestruck, Trainspotting, and the unit songs It’s Not Over and Boys Gonna Dive.
To mark the release, idntt held a showcase at the Blue Square Woori WON Banking Hall in Seoul earlier today.
Regarding the group debuting with 20 members instead of the full 24, Hwang Eunsoo announced, “Like the unit name itsnot5ver we wanted to create a sense of never-ending anticipation. Including the vacant ‘Id3’ spot and the remaining id22 through id24, a unit identity of nine members is set to be born.”
Kwak Giwoong, who joined the team for the first time through this activity, achieved his dream of debuting after a long period as a trainee. Regarding this, he confessed, “Since we waited so long, we prepared to be even cooler, more spectacular, and impactful, so I am more excited than nervous. Honestly, I was very nervous before going on stage, but now that I am standing there, I feel more thrilled and excited than nervous.”
Another new member, Cho Eunchan, said, “I am deeply moved to participate as a new unit this time. I am so happy to have made it to the showcase stage.” Lee Jooheon said, “I feel so good being on stage. The four members of itsnot5ver who debuted with me are also perfect. It’s so great,” adding, “If you look at each of us individually, we might not be perfect, but I think we become the perfect itsnotover because we fill in each other’s shortcomings.”
Regarding idntt‘s spirit, Park Nuri stated, “We are the type to move forward without caring about the gaze of others,” adding, “Our spirit is confidence. I am confident in sports.” Sungjun shared, “I think our spirit is ‘not collapsing.’ As we promote as a 20-member group, there will be many hard times and good times ahead, but I think if we become closer and do not crumble, good things will happen.”
Regarding the advantage of having 20 members on stage, Cho Eunchan cited, “The previous units had already debuted, but we were trainees. We practised the stages of the two units as trainees, so I think the fact that we are performing those stages together this time is a unique characteristic of our group’s size. It is appealing that those who have already debuted and those who have newly debuted can share the stage.” Kim Eunsung spoke about the positive aspects, saying, “idntt is a rookie group. If I am very nervous about debuting, I can rely on the members I can depend on.”
