On the 29th of June at 6 pm KST, SEVENTEEN Unit V8 (The8 (徐明浩) and Vernon) released the Music Video for their title track “singasong”, off their debut 1st Mini Album “V8”.
“Singasong” was co-written and co-produced by Vernon (“Beg For You [A.G. Cook & VERNON OF SEVENTEEN Remix]” by Charli XCX & Rina Sawayama), The8 (徐明浩) (“Side By Side” by The8 (徐明浩)), and Robb Roy (“Illegal + SEVENTEEN” PinkPantheress & SEVENTEEN)
German DJ and producer Mechatok, who is gaining attention in the European electronic music market, also contributed to the song’s production, creating a track with a playful sensibility.
“V8” is an album woven together under the theme of “consumed youth,” capturing the wandering and confusion experienced in the past, as well as the moments of recovery and growth found within them.
The album features a total of eight tracks, including The8 and Vernon’s solo tracks “8DM” and “Mia”. The two members spearheaded the album’s production by collaborating with global producers such as Pharrell Williams , Mechatok, Kirara, and Dylan Brady.
On June 28th V8 held a pre-listening party at Grain House in Itaewon-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul where they showcased their new tracks and The8’s DJ Skill.
Following the album release, “2026 VERNON THE 8 [V8] LIVE” will be held on July 11–12 and 17–19 at Hall 1 of KINTEX Exhibition Center 1 in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, and AsiaWorld Expo Hall 10 in Hong Kong.
V8 is also scheduled to appear on Mnet’s “M Countdown” on the 2nd of July to perform their new songs.
