“METRONOME” was co-written and co-produced by THEBLACKLABEL’s VVN (“FLOWER” by JISOO), Vince (“Soda Pop” by Saja Boys), IDO (“Pink Venom” by BLACKPINK), KUSH (“DDI RO RI” by MEOVV), and Executive Producer TEDDY (“How You Like That” by BLACKPINK).
“METRONOME” was co-written and co-produced Malachii (“JUMP” by BLACKPINK), Zikai (“Mantra” by JENNIE), and Jesse Bluu (“Racecar” by izna).
In the afternoon of the 8th, a media showcase was held for izna’s 3rd mini album, “SET THE TEMPO ” was held at the Blue Square Woori WON Bank Hall in Yongsan-gu, Seoul.
At the showcase, Koko stated: “The moment we show new music and performances is always exciting. I am looking forward to it so much,” while Mai shared her thoughts, stating, “While preparing for the comeback, we talked a lot with the members and worked on our chemistry. I feel proud and honored to be able to show you our growth.”.

Ryu Sarang said: “I wanted to show a more mature side compared to my previous activities. I am more attached to this album because izna’s colour has deepened both visually and musically,” while Bang Jeemin expressed her determination, saying, “It captures a self that has expanded one step further from the last album. I will show you my growth at Izuna’s own tempo.”.
Ryu Sarang explained izna’s “self-identity,” stating: “I think it is a confidence that is not confined to a set mold. While we show fierce performances on stage, off stage we seem to show a cheerfulness and honesty appropriate for our age.”
Koko defined it by saying, “The perspective is the confidence to pull off any concept with our own unique color. I believe that communicating a lot with the members during practice, saying positive things, and matching bright energy is what defines ‘Izuna-ness.”.
Jung Saebi spoke about her growth since debut, saying, “What I feel while performing on stage these days is that I have learned how to find confidence rather than nervousness. I was happy to enjoy the stage recently at a university festival, feeling like I was flying. I felt, ‘I have really grown.’ I realized that the stage is the happiest place.”.

Choi Jeongeun confessed, “My perspective on the stage has broadened as I have performed on various stages from I-LAND until now. If I used to think about perfection and just doing the movements well, now I feel like I enjoy the stage by exchanging emotions with the audience and creating a sense of immersion.”
Choi Jeongeun expressed confidence regarding ‘METRONOME,’ describing it as “a song with an addictive beat.” She stated, “I thought it suited Izuna well among all the songs I’ve heard so far. Her vocal tone and individuality blended in well.”
Regarding their honest first impressions of ‘METRONOME,’ Coco said, “I loved it as soon as I heard it. It had a new vibe different from ‘Mamma Mia’ or ‘Sign,’ so I was looking forward to seeing what the final result would be.” Mai explained, “When I first heard it, the intro had a dreamy atmosphere, so I thought it was our style. However, as it went into the chorus, the beat got stronger and house sounds emerged, so I thought we could showcase ourselves through our performance.”
In addition to this, ‘SET THE TEMPO’ also contains a total of five other tracks “RIP”, “INFINITY”, “ROCK, PAPER, SCISSORS” and “LEAN ON ME”, Bang Jeemin and Ryu Sa-rang participated in writing the lyrics for the fan song “INFINITY”.
Finally, regarding the genres Izuna wants to showcase in the future, Ryu Sarang revealed, “There are still so many genres and concepts we want to show. We want to interpret many things well with our own unique color and present them. We will strive to make Izuna a genre in itself.”
izna’s 3rd mini album, “SET THE TEMPO” was released today (the 8th) at 6 PM through various music streaming sites.
