MONSTA X’s Shownu X Hyungwon are finally back!

On May 21, MONSTA X’s Shownu X Hyungwon released the music video for their new title track “Do You Love Me”, from their second mini album “LOVE ME”.

According to Starship Entertainment, the title track “Do You Love Me” captures the emotions felt at the end of a relationship, expressing lingering feelings of love, emptiness, and regret.

The album explores different stages of love, from excitement and anticipation to emptiness and nostalgia, while highlighting Shownu and Hyungwon’s restrained mood and emotional expression.

This album also includes 7 songs of diverse genres, starting with the title track “Do You Love Me,” followed by “Superstitious,” “In My Head,” “Breathe,” “Accelerator,” Shownu’s solo song “Around & Go,” and Hyungwon’s solo song “NO AIR.”.

In an interview with Newsen to commemorate the unit’s comeback, Hyungwon stated,

“As a songwriter, I didn’t work on these songs with the intention of releasing them as a unit, but since I didn’t know when an opportunity might arise, I worked on songs in my spare time even during my vacation, It was difficult because I wasn’t sure what kind of image fans would like when we returned after a long time. Ultimately, we worked on the album with the mindset of doing what we do best.”

Shownu, who participated in the choreography for the previous work “Love Me A Little,” personally contributed to the performance production process for this comeback as well.

On May 20th, they held a comeback live stream on their YouTube channel, communicating with global fans and sharing behind-the-scenes stories about their work.

Meanwhile, at 6 PM on May 21st, Shownu X Hyungwon unveiled the first stage for the title track “Do You Love Me” for the first time on Mnet’s ‘M Countdown’ on the same day.
