Flare U’s debut album sells over 180,000 copies in the first week

FLARE U has signaled a successful debut by surpassing 180,000 copies in first-week sales for their first mini-album.

Hanteo Chart on May 20th, announced that FLARE U’s first mini-album ‘YOUTH ERROR,’ released on May 13th, sold 186,825 copies during the first week following its release.

Sales approached 100,000 copies within just one day of release, and they achieved a significant milestone by ranking in the top 3 for first-week sales among groups debuting in 2026.

FLARE U topped the Hanteo Chart’s Daily Album Chart and Music Chart on the first day of release, they also ranked first on the Circle Chart’s Daily Retail Album Chart.

They have maintained their solid popularity, ranking 2nd on the Hanteo Chart Weekly Album Chart (May 11–17, 2026) and 2nd on the Circle Chart Weekly Retail Album Chart (May 10–16, 2026).

FLARE U, under FNC ENTERTAINMEN Chuei Li Yu from Taiwan and Korean Kang Woo-jin, competed on Mnet’s “Boys II Planet” last year, finishing 10th and 16th, respectively.

Chuei Li Yu made his debut as a solo artist on December 3, 2025, with the single album Sweet Dream and title track “UxYOUxU”.

FLARE U participated as a special performer at “KCON JAPAN 2026,” which was held from May 8 to 10 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan.
