ZEROBASEONE is finally back!
On May 18th 12am KST, ZEROBASEONE released the music video for their newest title track “Top 5” ahead of the release of their 6th Mini Album “Ascend-” set to release later today.
ZEROBASEONE is kicking off this new chapter with a mature, monochromatic, sleek, and sexy concept. The song’perfectly sets the mood, highlighting the group’s charismatic and confident sides.
The 6th mini album captures ZEROBASEONE’s present from the closest possible perspective, while offering a preview of their new journey filled with infinite possibilities.
The lyrics reflect on the “Top 5” favorite things about their lover while also carrying a double meaning tied to the group’s new identity as five members.
“Top 5” was co-written and co-produced by Jeremy Dussoliet (“SNAP” by Rosalinn), One Love (“Airplanes, Pt. 2” by B.o.B), Benjamin Samama (“BET ON ME” by ITZY) & Nate Sander.
“Top 5” was co-written by Hyun Ji Won (“Crescendo” by NMIXX), Underscore (“FREAK ALARM” by ALPHA DRIVE ONE), Deeno (“Round and Round” by JO YURI), and Saint (“ICONIK” by ZEROBASEONE).
Lastly, “Top 5” was also co-written by Mia (“Beautiful Strangers” by TOMORROW X TOGETHER), Seo Ga Eul (“La La Love Me” by VIVIZ), and Damduck (“DEAD MAN WALKING” by ALL(H)OURS).
On February 12, ZEROBASEONE’s agency WAKEONE announced that Sung Hanbin, Kim Jiwoong, Seok Matthew, Kim Taerae, and Park Gunwook will be continuing together as five members.
Their 6th mini album, “Ascend-” will be released on May 18 at 6 PM KST.
