NMIXX has released the music video for “Heavy Serenade”
On May 11th at 6 PM KST, NMIXX released their 5th EP, “Heavy Serenade”, with the MV for the title track of the same name.
This comes seven months after its first full-length album “Blue Valentine” topped major domestic streaming charts and swept 10 music show wins.
The EP contains six songs, including the title track and pre-release “Cresendo”, alongside the B-sides “IDESERVEIT”, “LOUD,” solely written by member Lily, and “Different Girl” and “Superior,” co-written by member Bae.
According to JYP Entertainment, the title track, “Heavy Serenade”, is a song that intricately mixes electronic music elements such as trance, acid, and drum and bass into pop.
It features, cinematic drumming and modal interchange chord progressions create a mysterious atmosphere, while the final chorus utilizes explosive rock to brilliantly conclude the bursting emotions of love.
“Heavy Serenade” was written by solo artist and songwriter HANRORO (“Skipping Stone” by TOMORROW X TOGETHER, “April’s Cat” by YENA, and “Let Me Love My Youth” by HANRORO)
“Heavy Serenade” was co-written and co-produced by ESUM (“TIC TIC” by NMIXX & Pabllo Vitar), Ayushy (“Run For Roses” by NMIXX), Awrii (“Sonar” by NMIXX), and SEORA (“SAILING” from Planet C Home Race).
“Heavy Serenade” was also co-written and co-produced by Maribelle (“r u ok?” by ifeye), Josefin Glenmark (“Party O’Clock” by NMIXX & “UNFORGIVEN” by LE SSERAFIM), and SSo (“Psycho” by IZNA).
NMIXX’s ongoing world tour “Episode 1: Zero Frontier,” which launched with a sold-out show at Inspire Arena in Incheon last November, moves to Asia in June.
