KATSEYE releases “PINKY UP” as five due to Manon Bannerman’s hiatus

KATSEYE releases “PINKY UP” MV.

On April 09th PST, KATSEYE released “PINKY UP” on all platforms as well as an official MV. This is their first comeback since Manon Bannerman’s hiatus was announced.

“PINKY UP” was written by Justin Tranter (Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande) and produced by dwilly, “hitman” bang and FRANTS, with the video directed by Bardia Zeinali (Kacey Musgraves, Troye Sivan),

Manon’s hiatus was announced on February 20, with a joint statement from HYBE and Geffen (the labels signed as “HxG”) that was posted on KATSEYE’s accounts on Weverse and X, announcing that after careful consideration, Manon would be going on a “temporary hiatus.”

On April 2, fans clocked that Manon had removed a reference to KATSEYE from her Instagram bio as discussions at HYBE and Geffen reportedly continue. Meanwhile, Manon also released a new statement on Weverse, where she shared something of a status update.

“Thank you so much for all the love and support you’ve been sending my way… I’m really grateful for the patience and kindness everyone has shown during this time. HxG and I are having positive conversations and I feel supported. I’m happy and I’m healthy. I’ll share more soon. Thank you for always being there for me.”

KATSEYE will make their Coachella debut on Friday (April 10), marking their latest show without Bannerman, following gigs at Lollapalooza Argentina and Lollapalooza Chile last month; KATSEYE will also take the stage at the second weekend of Coachella on April 17.
