BLACKPINK ranks first on Hanteo Chart just two and a half days after the release of their third mini-album ‘DEADLINE’

BLACKPINK topped the Hanteo Weekly Album Chart just two and a half days after the release of their third mini album ‘DEADLINE’.

According to Hanteo Chart on the 2nd, ‘DEADLINE’ ranked first on the weekly album chart for the 5th week of February (counted from February 23rd to March 1st) with sales of 1,479,220 copies. It reached the top of the chart in just two and a half days since its release at 2 PM on February 27th.

This record was predicted from the very first day of release. According to Hanteo Chart, “DEADLINE” sold 1,461,785 copies on its first day, setting a new milestone as the highest single-day sales for a K-pop girl group.

YG Entertainment stated:
“Global demand for the album has far exceeded our initial expectations, and we are currently in the process of additional production,” adding, “We ask for your continued anticipation for the new record that BLACKPINK will once again create.”

‘Meanwhile, ‘DEADLINE’ has topped iTunes album charts in 38 regions worldwide, and has also successfully “lined up” on QQ Music, China’s largest music platform, with the title song “GO” and all of the other tracks entering the top ranks. The “GO” music video also ranked first in global daily popular music videos on YouTube’s latest chart
