According to Hanteo Chart, and YG Entertainment, on the 28th, BLACKPINK’s 3rd mini album ‘DEADLINE’, released on the 27th, sold 1,461,785 copies in one day.
This is the highest first-day sales in the history of a K-pop girl group. This is the combined result of sales of the standard edition, silver, grey, and moonlight versions.
BLACKPINK became the first girl group in Hanteo Chart history to have two albums that sold over 1 million copies on the first day of release, following their second full-length album “BORN PINK” (2022), which sold 1.01 million copies on the first day.
Previously, the album with the highest first-day sales among all K-pop girl groups on Hanteo Chart was AESPA with their third mini-album “MY WORLD” (1.37 million copies).
“DEADLINE” topped the iTunes album charts in 32 regions, reaching the top of the worldwide charts. The title track “GO” has also secured a place at the top of major domestic music platforms, and the other tracks on the album are also enjoying consistent popularity.
