Ador files 43.1 billion won damages lawsuit against NewJeans’ Danielle, her family, and Min Hee-jin

Ador has filed a lawsuit against former New Jeans member Danielle, her family, and former CEO Min Hee-jin for approximately 43.1 billion won (€22.3 Million) in damages.

According to Newsis on the 30th, the lawsuit filed by Adore against Danielle, his family, and former Ador CEO Min Hee-jin for penalty and damages was assigned to the 31st Civil Agreement Division of the Seoul Central District Court (Presiding Judge Nam In-soo).

Ador filed a lawsuit against Danielle and others for approximately 43.1 billion won in damages (€22.3 Million).

The court is currently hearing a civil lawsuit between former CEO Min and HYBE regarding Adore shares and a 26 billion won put option (the right to buy or sell stocks at a predetermined price at a certain point in time).

On the 29th, Ador notified Danielle of the termination of his exclusive contract and announced that they would file a lawsuit against him for penalty and damages.

Ador stated:

“In the case of Danielle, we have determined that it will be difficult for her to continue working with New Jeans as a member and an artist under Ador, so we notified her of the termination of his exclusive contract today. Furthermore, we plan to hold Daniel’s family and former CEO Min Hee-jin, who are significantly responsible for causing this dispute and for his departure from New Jeans and the delay in his return, legally responsible.”

Legal circles have predicted that Daniel’s penalty will be around 100 billion won.

In October. Ador announced that members Haerin and Hyein had expressed their intention to return last month.

Shortly thereafter, Minji, Hanni, and Danielle also announced their intention to return. The three, who relayed their position through the law firm Hanil, stated:

“After careful discussion, we decided to return to Ador. One member is currently in Antarctica, which delayed the delivery, and Ador has not responded, so we had no choice but to announce our position separately.”

Adore responded, “We are currently confirming their sincerity” and “coordinating individual interview schedules.”
