Suspilne announced the names of nine finalists of the National Selection for Eurovision 2026.
Among the longlist participants who did not make it to the list of finalists after two days of auditions, an online vote will be held in the Diya mobile application in January.
The final, tenth, finalist will be determined based on its results. The full list of finalists will be announced by January 15, 2026, and the National Selection final itself will take place in February.

Jamala winner of Eurovision stated:
“It was a very difficult choice – forming the shortlist for the National Selection-2026. I see and hear it as vocal, song-oriented, competitive and with interesting performers. It’s so unusual to be in the role of a music producer for the first time. It’s like writing a small dissertation, presenting each participant to the organizing committee.
It was a difficult choice: there are performers who did not make the shortlist, but whom I would definitely like to see in the final. The process of working on the songs is ongoing: arrangements, lyrics, vocals… I will involve everyone I can to bring everything to super quality.
Ahead is the audience vote. And I would like to ask everyone not to neglect it, because the fate of six artists is being decided. Therefore, it is very important that the audience be active and vote for their favorites,”
As in previous years, the winner of the National Selection will be determined by the results of the jury and audience voting.
The 70th Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Austria. Vienna has been chosen as the host city.
The semi-finals will take place on May 12 and 14, with the grand final on May 16 at the Wiener Stadthalle, Austria’s largest indoor arena. This is the third time Vienna has hosted the world’s largest music competition.
