BLACKPINK’s Jennie has achieved another milestone with the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
“ExtraL (feat. Doechii)” from her first solo album “Ruby” has received RIAA Gold certification, making Jennie the K-pop solo artist with the most RIAA certifications.
The RIAA announced the gold certification for “ExtraL” on its official website on the 2nd (Korean time). RIAA Gold certification is awarded when an album achieves over 500,000 units through combined sales and streaming in the United States.
With this certification, Jennie now has four RIAA-certified songs.Jennie previously has platinum certification (over 1 million units) for her collaboration with The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp, “One Of The Girls” Since then, “Mantra” and “Like JENNIE” have received gold certifications, and “ExtraL” has joined the ranks.
Notably, three songs from “Ruby” alone have received RIAA certifications, solidifying her debut album’s influence in the US market.
The RIAA awards Gold (500,000), Platinum (1 million), Multi-Platinum (2 million), and Diamond (10 million) certifications based on sales and streaming performance of digital singles and albums.
