RÚV has announced the deadline for submitting songs for Söngvakeppnin 2026.

As stated on a Instagram post, Icelandic songwriters and singers have until midnight on November 20 to submit their songs to compete in Söngvakeppnin 2026.

The Icelandic broadcaster stated that no decision has yet been made on participation in the Eurovision Song Contest 2026.

RÚV also stated:

“We have already received more songs than last year, and RÚV encourages composers to take advantage of the opportunity before the deadline expires.”
